Satellite analysis

From Satellite Monitoring to Pre-Planting Intelligence

Understand your land before you plant.

Illustrative NDVI vegetation-health map showing varied crop zones; not actual satellite measurements

NDVI — Historical Vegetation Performance

Identify areas that repeatedly show stronger or weaker vegetation growth, revealing patterns that might not be obvious during a single visit.

Illustrative NDMI vegetation-moisture map showing varied crop zones; not actual satellite measurements

NDMI — Historical Vegetation Moisture Patterns

Compare vegetation water content across fields and seasons to investigate potential differences in moisture availability.

Ground Validation — Confirm What the Satellite Suggests

Combine satellite observations with soil sampling, sensors and local knowledge to make more informed decisions.

Explore historical satellite observations to investigate vegetation patterns, identify areas for further assessment and support decisions about crop placement and irrigation planning.

These are illustrative examples, not actual satellite measurements. NDMI indicates vegetation water content; it does not directly measure moisture beneath the soil surface. Satellite observations should be interpreted alongside ground measurements.

Practical possibilities

Connected data

Get Insights From Your Data

Your farm data shouldn't stop at a dashboard. Access it, understand it and connect it to the applications and services you use.

Illustrations show possible workflows; available data and integrations depend on account access and service configuration.

Unified Data Streaming

A unified stream may make approved farm measurements easier for connected tools to access, depending on setup.

Farm data, made clearer

Your farm data. One clear view.

View measurements from connected devices in one place, follow trends and understand changing farm conditions.

Data views vary with connected hardware and service configuration; not every metric is available on every farm.

ThingsCommute platform

Connect Your Farm, Your Way

Choose devices around your farm’s needs. We do not require customers to purchase a specific hardware brand.

Farmers can onboard their own LoRaWAN-compatible devices. Devices tested with ThingsCommute are listed in the supported devices catalogue.

If your device is not listed, contact our team. We can assess compatibility, discuss decoder integration and help with provisioning.

Compatibility is a starting point. LoRaWAN compatibility does not guarantee immediate ThingsCommute integration; each device may need assessment, configuration or custom decoding.

A little setup may be needed

Some devices need hands-on onboarding.

New devices may require manual provisioning, configuration or decoder integration before their data can be used with ThingsCommute. We will explain the steps and let you know if we need more information.

Reusable customer update message
“Your device is currently being provisioned. Our team is working on the configuration and will contact you once the process is complete or if additional information is required.”

This is an example message for individual customer communications, not a live status for all visitors.

Research, insight and data

Research & Data Integration Opportunities

Explore platforms that may support research, analysis and responsible sharing of agricultural data.

These are examples of platforms that may complement future research and data workflows. Their inclusion does not indicate a formal partnership, certified compatibility or a completed integration; suitability and feasibility require assessment.

For applications and developers

Connect your applications and data

Use the verified ThingsCommute API portal for standard authorized access and developer documentation. Separate public destinations for these access types have not been identified.

Developer API

For developers and integrations using documented endpoints. Access may require authorization.
